Vintage Ceramic Bud Vase Cinque Ports Pottery c1970
A small ceramic vessel dating from the late 1960's early 1970's. Produced by Cinque Ports Pottery, Rye, East Sussex, England. Pottery has been produced in Rye since medieval times, David Sharp left Rye Pottery in 1956 and formed Rye Art Pottery, which later became known as Cinque Ports Pottery with his friend George Gray.
The history and perfect imperfections of any vintage vessel add to its mystery and wonder. This small little bud vase can be used for the display of a small single cut flower, or simply admired and loved as it is. As this is a vintage item, some minor markings or signs of use may be apparent.
