Pump Street Bakery Chocolate - Venezuela 75%

€5.80
  • Pump Street Bakery is a small family run bakery on Suffolk's heritage coast making small batch, handmade artisan chocolate from single origin beans imported directly to them from family farms and cooperatives around the world.

Having quite a weakness for an honestly crafted and delicious bar of chocolate, once we discovered the unique flavours developed by Pump Street we knew we had to share it with as many folk as possible.

  • The Venezuela Patanemo 75% is produced using Trinitario beans from Patanemo village in Venezuela which are sorted, roasted, cracked, winnowed, ground and cinched into this classic, balanced dark chocolate. It's unctuous, with flavours of gingerbread, molasses, and dark fruit. A medium roast and long conch yield low acidity and little bitterness. Bean to bar chocolate handmade in Orford, Suffolk, UK

The village of Patanemo was founded by run-away slaves. Legend holds that when the slaves found freedom in the coastal mountains they yelled out "pas tenemos", we are at peace! Over time "pas tenemos" turned into Patanemo. Patanemo is on the cusp of the Henri Pittier National Park, a lush tropical forest filled with panthers, monkeys, orchids and Cacao trees

  • Cocoa Beans, cocoa butter and cane sugar. Minimum 75% cocoa solids. Processed in an environment containing nuts and dairy products. Bar weight = 70 grams
