Amelie Mancini Tea Towel - Ferns

New Ferns tea towel by Amelie Mancini from her new collection, we have many a fern here in our garden and love the architectural beauty of the shade lovers. Each design is carved by Amelie onto a block of linoleum and then used to create a repeating pattern which is burnt onto a screen. She screen prints the patterns onto fabrics with water based non toxic inks and then the fabric is cut and sewn into a variety of products by Amelie in her Brooklyn studio.
From start to finish, each product is made by hand from the initial drawing to the final assembling, using traditional techniques and natural materials. The immense care put into each product creates objects to fill people's lives with thoughtfulness and elegance. -

Material: 55% linen, 45% cotton flax.
Other: Twill loop in upper corner for hanging.
Care: Hand wash or machine wash gentle. Hang to dry. Iron on reverse side. -
Amelie Mancini is a French artist and designer living in Brooklyn, NY.
A painter, illustrator and print maker, she runs a multi-disciplinary studio and uses hand carved linocuts and silk screens to print her elegant designs onto linen and create original and artful tableware, home decor and accessories. Her hands on approach to design puts the accent on craftsmanship and small batch manufacturing.
